This comic had actually been done for a long while before i decided to upload it. I wanted my Polish friend *Orzel's permission to upload it cause I didn't want to be rude. So it was kind of funny and ironic how so many people seemed to like him from this page of Finnish'D, since I already had this comic about us done long before!
I've made a lot of new friends here at school, but all the events leading up to this one were unique- it'll be explained in the comic itself at one point. I always had a crazy story to share with my husband when I got home, and he particularly would laugh at my thought process and mental reactions to things, so I decided to translate that into comic form. So my freak-out face isn't at all out of place, trust me.
It doesn't look as good as Finnish'D because I had to hand this in with my sketchbook, so it's all just shaded by pencil and ink. The scanner I have is a little too good and picks out every single little detail and mess-up and inconsistency in shading, so I'm sorry if it looks kinda sloppy.
Over all though, I'm very happy with this comic. I just find it fun and interesting how someone I was originally nervous around (and a little scared of XP) eventually came out to be a very good friend to me.
Checking the date when Day 13 ended, I believe you are done with Back In Poland, which I have to say...wow, this one of the best comics I have read. I'm not even joking, I haven't had a comic that made me smile and laugh this much since like Calvin & Hobbes and Foxtrot. The way you overthink pretty much sums me up in a nutshell, thinking of 10 million things at once and stessing out over nothing XD and it really shows how your friendship grew over the days. There were a lot of hilarious moments, like the vegetarian and lawyer revelation, the quest to find out his name and explaining the entire thing to Jack. I like how you threw in Zeroclassa in the slides and now I wanna play Diablo II...Necromacer, I haven't seen you in any other game than Diablo TT_TT XD But, this is just pure gold. It's a solid story to boot, showing the hilarity and awkwardness one gets in everyday life and it shows the growth of a friendship which I guarantee you will be friends for years to come = D As for the artwork, you got really detailed with character expressions and actions and I guarantee you capture exactly how the moment played out (Kinda like his shuffling towards you, which to be honest, I'm usually the one that does something like that and I'm nervous to say hello sometimes XD). Overall, this was a fantastic comic and one I hope to look back and read whenever I'm upset for it makes me smile and think how great life is = )
I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and how it struck a chord and everything. I was hoping that these comics would sort of hit people in a way like "I know what you mean", so it's refreshing to know that they do that! I am basically done with this comic in particular, simply because I got so busy, a lot of time went by, and we got over all that awkwardness so it basically concludes at that. I could of maybe done a more defined "ending", but I think I'm just gonna leave it as is. But thanks very much
Youre welcome and I think the ending, though not very defined, is perfect the way it is becuase it just shows how you two have become good friends and will have more experiences together = ) I'm just eager now to see what you create next! One final note...I like Linkin Park...Maybe its due to nostalgia becuase it was one of the first bands I listened to, but there's worse...right? ._. XD
