I've started to get a few questions about my reaction to REmake being remastered for Playstation, Xbox, and PC so I figure I'll make a short public statement on the matter.
I think this is great! REmake is possibly one of the best installments to the entire Resident Evil series and I think it's gonna be awesome to have it on all these new platforms. On Gamecube the game was amazing and well beyond its time in terms of graphics. Unfortunately it was only for Gamecube and I think that was seriously limiting to the fanbase, considering the entirety of the series were originally found on Playstation [with a few titles scattered throughout other systems as well]. In those times, some people just couldn't afford a new game system and either never got to play it, or had to wait until years later [myself included].
Some people seem to think it's a remake of a remake and are rolling their eyes over this, which is understandable. However it's not a remake, it's simply an HD remastering. It's also understandable that people will not want to buy the same game again, but at the same time I think many others will be completely willing. I know I am! I'd love to be able to play REmake on my Playstation just like old times... Because sorry Nintendo but I really hate most of your controllers! That all being said, I honestly hope this isn't just a mere chashgrab. I hope it's Capcom actually listening to what fans want, and I hope that they take what comes of this to continue down the path of true survival horror!
